Mary E. Reaves

Mary E. Reaves, 87, of Hahira died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman. She was born on December 21, 1924 in Jennings, Hamilton County, Florida to the late Gordon and Callie Buchanan Huggins and had lived in Hahira for sixty six years. Mrs. Reaves was a member of the Hahira United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Reaves was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother as well as secretary for the family business.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Paul H., Jr. and Brenda Reaves, two grandsons and granddaughter in law, Reuben Reaves, Keith and Jennifer Reaves all of Hahira, four great grandchildren, Sarah Grace Reaves, James Paul Reaves, Marlaina Reaves and Jackson Reaves, one sister, Lucy Lehman of Valdosta, three sisters in law, Mildred Crafton, Geneva Reaves both of Pinetta, FL, and Aljean Reaves of Gainesville, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Reaves, Sr.

Graveside services will be held at 2pm, Friday, November 30, 2012 at Friendship Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at the Martin/McLane Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Hahira Church of God Food Pantry, 206 E.
