Mary "Cookie" Rebecca Creech

Mary “Cookie” Rebecca Creech, age 79 of Valdosta, GA, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by family on Sunday morning, April 11, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved daughter of the late Wiley Steve Strickland and Willie Guess Strickland of Hahira, GA.

Mary was a proud mother and grandmother, who loved her family tremendously. She had a generous heart, was remarkably creative, and was a talented baker who created exquisite wedding cakes.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Earl L. Creech, MD, her parents, her brother Delma H. Nichols, her brother Dale N. Strickland, and her granddaughter Cassie Rebecca McKenzie.

Mary is survived by her four children, Debbie Canady (Michael) of Martinez, GA, Denise Martin (Brad) of Fernandina Beach, FL, Rebecca “Becky” Morrison (David) of Hoschton, GA, and Kyle Creech (Marie) of Hahira, GA, seven grandchildren, Carrie (Ryan), Maggie, Blake, Jack, Annasten, Finley and Wylee Kait; and many other loving relatives and close friends.

The family wishes to thank all of those special souls who helped care for her during her illness.
