Mary Castleberry Mixon Sutton

Mary Castleberry Mixon Sutton, 71, of Hahira died Monday, October 15, 2012 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Tampa, Florida on November 15, 1940 to the late Roy and Elma Castleberry and had lived in this area for several years. Mrs. Sutton was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant from South Georgia Medical Center. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her church family. Mrs. Sutton loved to visit the beach and the mountains.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Faye and Allen Watson, two grandchildren, Heather Watson, Scott and Summer Watson all of Hahira, great grandchildren, Austin Watson, Saylor Watson, Gabe Carlo, Breanna Watson, Reed Watson, one sister, Gladys Stanfill of Moultrie, four brothers and two sisters in law, James and Milli Castleberry of Hosford, FL, Harold and Mary Lou Castleberry of Glen St. Mary, FL, Howard Castleberry of Adel, Marvin Castleberry of Hilliard, FL., her uncle, Cary Castleberry of Jacksonville, FL. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clemon F. Mixon and Daniel Jack Sutton, two sisters in law, Elizabeth Castleberry of Adel and Kenna Castleberry of Hilliard, FL.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Fellowship Baptist Church near Cecil with Rev. Ike Jefferson officiating. Burial will follow at Springhead Baptist Church Cemetery in Adel. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Martin/McLane Funeral Home in Hahira.
