Marilyn Futch Dew

Marilyn Futch Dew, 68, of Dasher, died on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at her home after a lengthy illness. Born in Adel on May 9, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Leila Futch. Mrs. Dew was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and she loved her church family. Working as secretary and part owner she was associated with her husband in Valdosta Wrecking Company from 1968 until 1992. Marilyn was interested in ceramics and loved to cook from her extensive cookbook collection.

Survivors are her husband, Jim Dew of Dasher; daughter, Cindi and Norman Mackay, grandchildren, Lexie Mackay, Ally Mackay, Maisie Mackay all of Ponte Vedra, Florida; sister and brother in law, Doris and Roy Sumner of Valdosta, brother, Wayne Futch of Valdosta.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 11 a.m. at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens Chapel. Reverend Alton Hardee will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the Mausoleum from 10 a.m. until service time. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com.
