Marguerite D. Califf

Marguerite D. Califf, 76, of Valdosta, died at home on Thursday, June 12, 2008. Born on September 21, 1931 in Valdosta, she was the daughter of the late Wiley and Eva Cook DeLoach. Mrs. Califf was retired from PCA as a Tax Coordinator and Land Auditor. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Renee Califf of Valdosta; granddaughter and her husband, Nicole and G.C. Ratliff of Valdosta; grandsons, Cody Califf of Atlanta and Matthew Califf of Valdosta; great grandchildren, Hayley and Granger Cole Ratliff of Valdosta; daughter-in-law Katherine Califf of Valdosta; good friends, Jackie Carter, Jean Retterbush and Jean DeLoach, all of Valdosta.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Phil West officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of South Georgia.
