Margaret Ann Rowan

Margaret Ann Rowan, 63, of Valdosta died Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Hollywood, FL on September 25, 1952 to the late Ivey C. and Ressie Lee Carter. Mrs. Rowan was a homemaker and a Baptist. She loved her family especially her grandchildren and her pets.
Mrs. Rowan is survived by her husband, Albert L. Rowan of Valdosta, two daughters and one son in law, Brenda Shaw and Belinda Piland (Kevin), one son and daughter in law, Steven Rowan (Teresa Hutchinson) all of Valdosta, her grandchildren, Brittany Shaw, Tiffany Piland (Ben Sumners), Justin Piland, and Dennis Piland (Danielle), one great granddaughter, Marli Piland, three sisters in law, Wydene Carter of Hahira, Barbara Carter of Valdosta and Janet Carter of Hahira, devoted family members, Ron and Diane Carter, Tommy and Tracey Taylor, Robert and Pumpkin Kelley, numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Dottie Bradley and Elizabeth Carter, three brothers, Gene Carter, James E. Carter, Paul A. Carter and sister in law, Ann Marie Carter.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015 at one p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Charlie May officiating. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Friday at the funeral home.
