Marcus Edward Powers

Marcus Edwards Powers, 77, of Morven passed away at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born in Ray City on September 10, 1938 and was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a hard worker and was employed for over forty years with Elliott House Movers. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and barbecuing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Mr. Powers is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ramona Faye Powers of Morven; a son, Michael Collier of Morven; three grandchildren, Joey Collier of Morven, Christy Rimes of Biloxi, MS, Bruce Collier of Lake Park; six great grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sarah and Johnny Brantley of Ray City, Reesie and Jimmy Fountain of Ray City. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers.
