Marcia Lynn Twomey

Marcia Lynn Twomey, 61, of Valdosta, died on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at McGraw Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born in Valdosta on February 23, 1960, and has been a lifelong resident of this area. She worked for over 20 years at Elite Structures in Adel, Georgia as a metal building detailer in the drafting and design department. Marcia enjoyed working on puzzles, collecting salt and pepper shakers, and loved spending time and making memories with her grandchildren. She was of the Christian faith.
Marcia is survived by her husband, Matthew Twomey of Valdosta; her daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Russ McCurdy of Hahira; her grandchildren, Madalynn Kalinowski, Logan McCurdy and Emma Jean McCurdy all of Hahira; her father, John Vaughn and his wife, Brenda Vaughn of Douglasville, Georgia; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Steve and Patty Vaughn of Douglasville, and Keith Vaughn of Valdosta; three aunts, Johnnie Fisher of Jacksonville, Florida, Nell Bates of Valdosta, and Donna Brogdon on Jacksonville and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Fuggett, and her grandmother, Maudell Rouse.
A visitation and memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022, in the Magnolia Room of the Carson McLane Funeral Home from 2p.m. until 4 p.m. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane.
