M. Tom Rowell

M. Thomas Rowell, 89, of Valdosta, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at South Georgia Medical Center following a short illness. He was born in Roseboro, NC, on July 11, 1929 to the late Thomas William and Vivian Dowdy Rowell. Mr. Rowell was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a Deacon at Redland Baptist Church, and was a retired installation supervisor with United Telephone.
Mr. Rowell is survived by his wife Sara Lee Rowell of Valdosta; daughter April Sellers (Bret) of Callahan, FL; son Thomas D. Rowell of Winter Park, FL; grandson Josh Sellers (Jessica) of Callahan, FL; great granddaughter Sabella Sellers; sister-in-law Alice Holton of Thomasville; and numerous other relatives.
Memorial Services for Mr. Rowell will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday April 20, 2019 at Redland Baptist Church in Valdosta, with Rev. Jay Watkins officiating.
