M. Lucille Brashears

M. Lucille Brashears, 92, of Valdosta, died on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Fellowship Home. Born in Chanute, Kansas on May 1, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Roy Gibson and Ruth Edith Allison Gibson Wilkins. Formerly of Fontana, California, Lucille had made her home in Valdosta since 1974. For more than 50 years she was a member of the Eastern Star, The White Shrine of Jerusalem and the Daughters of the Nile. Lucille was an avid bowler for many years in the United States Bowling Congress, formerly the Women's International Bowling Congress. She enjoyed making crafts and supporting the Bowlers to Veterans Link with her creations. She was a Christian.
Lucille is survived by many special friends.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Reverend Chris Michael will officiate. Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour before the service on Sunday.
