M. C. Cox

M. C. Cox, 66 of Lake Park, died on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Born on August 29, 1939 in Hamilton, Alabama, he was the son of the late John A. and Flossie Conway Cox and the widower of Virginia Lee Cox. He was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors are his son, Thomas Cox of Atlanta; daughter and son-in-law, Trennia and Danny Johnson of Lake Park; grandsons, Jeremy Johnson and Cameron Johnson both of Lake Park; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Nondice Cox of Marion, OH; numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Wanda Ream of Adrian, MI; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Bunny Gambill of Jonesboro, AR and mother-in-law, Carma Kunkle of Adrian, MI.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2006 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Boulevard, Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852.
