Lyn Deal

Lyn Deal, 52, of Valdosta, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010, after a lengthy illness.

She was born June 23, 1958 in Sylvania, a daughter of the late James Keller and Mary Hillis Deal. Lyn attended special education classes in Jenkins County and later training classes in Toombs County. Lyn moved from Vidalia to Valdosta in 2002 to live with her brother, Ronnie Deal and his family. She was a member of the First United Methodist Churches in Vidalia and Valdosta.

Lyn loved her church family and activities, loved listening to the Gaithers and reading her bible daily. She also enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephew.

She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Susan Deal of Valdosta; niece, Ashley Nichols of Orlando, FL; nephew, Bryan Deal and wife Alysha of Savannah; niece, Keller Deal of Savannah; niece, Donna Jones and husband Chip of Valdosta; nephew, Donald Lowery and Tracy of Dublin; two great-nieces, Kaya Nichols and Klancey Jones; one aunt, Alberta Rhoden of Austin, TX; and several cousins.

Services for Lyn will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 23, 2010 in the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Diane Shedd and Laura Leonard officiating. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm Friday at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Vidalia. Lyn's family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the funeral home.
