Lucy Mcdonald Ward

Lucy McDonald Ward, 86 of Valdosta died on Tuesday, November 01, 2005 at her residence. Born on April 18, 1919 in Willacoochee, GA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Nancy Jane Jones McDonald and the widow of Donald Ward. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Perry, FL and had attended the Azalea City Church of Christ for the past 12 years. Mrs. Ward was a good mother and granny.

Survivors are one daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy B. and Pardee Goodloe of Valdosta; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Phyllis Becton of Tel Aviv, Israel; five grandchildren, Wall Goodloe of Valdosta, Diane Johnson of Wylie, TX; Chris Becton, Katherine Becton and Derrick Becton all of Orlando, FL; eight great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, June Jones of Valdosta and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Koot and Barney Johnson, Janie and Doyle Padgett and Susie Murphy all of Perry, FL.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2005 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry, FL with Mr. Wally Goodloe officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
