Loretta Cowart Renfroe, 64, of Hahira passed away suddenly at her residence on September 27, 2015. She was born in Adel on August 7, 1951 to Robbie Nell Cowart Dumas and the late Rhudolph Charles Cowart, Sr. Mrs. Renfroe was a lifelong resident of this area and graduated from Cook County High School with the class of 1969. In her spare time she enjoyed being outdoors where she practiced her gardening and bird watching. Mrs. Renfroe loved spending time with her family and the company of her two dogs, Sandie and Zena.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Robbie Nell Cowart Dumas and Kirby Dumas of Hahira; her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Vickie Simpson of Adel; a daughter, Lori Simpson of Hahira; three grandchildren, Mikayla Simpson of Lakeland, Tristan Carter of Hahira, Brandon Maye of Macon, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis Cowart Lindsey and Charles Lindsey of Moultrie; Brother and sister-in-law Charles and Peggie Cowart of Lakeland; brother, Kenny Cowart of Fitzgerald; Several Nieces and nephews and a large extended family. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Keith Schofill.
A visitation for Loretta Cowart Renfroe will be held at the Martin McLane Funeral Home at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2015.
