Lorene Gunter Rayburn

Lorene Gunter Rayburn, 85, of Quitman died Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Cook Senior Living Center. She was born in Irwin County, Georgia on March 30, 1932 to the late Jim Henry and Allie Harper Gunter. Mrs. Rayburn was a clerk with Presto's and a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Quitman.
Survivors include her children, Larry Taylor, Deborah Sparbeck both of Lake Placid, FL, Michael Rayburn of Valdosta, Darel and Missy Rayburn of Hahira; 9-grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; her sister, Lois Cumbus of Ray City; her brother, Elton Gunter of Valdosta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Clyde Rayburn; her sisters, Essie Mae Youmans and Wilma Harper and her brother, Jerome Gunter.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Rev. Larry Harris officiating. A private burial will be held at the Springhill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Irwin County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10am-11am at the funeral home.
