Lois "Patsy" Cain

September 21, 1940 — December 20, 2013

Lois "Patsy" Cain was born on September 21, 1940 in Hawkins County, Tennessee. She passed away on December 20, 2013 after a long fight with cancer. She owned and operated Azalea Gardens Nursery in Valdosta for 24 years. Patsy had a tremendous love for flowers, plants and an equal affection for animals and their well-being. She was preceded in death by her parents, James W. Bishop and Juanita Bishop.

She leaves behind a husband and four children. She was married to Atlee E. Cain for 53 years. Her children and their spouses are Mark and Wendy Cain, Derrick Cain, Stephen and Julie Cain and Karen and Don Taylor. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Aaron, Stacy and Shelton Cain, Heather and Ashley Strickland, Celeste and Kristi Taylor; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Rhonda Bishop, and an aunt, Edith Felton. She also had a special cousin, Robert "Bob" Conant.

The family will be receiving friends and family at 614 Ledgedale Circle from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013. A memorial ceremony will follow the visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patsy's honor to the Valdosta Humane Society (229)-247-3266 or the Langdale Hospice House (229)-671-4100.
