Loette Dasher Perry

Loette Dasher Perry, 84, of Valdosta, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013.

She was born October 28, 1929 in Adel, a daughter of the late Calvin and Elizabeth Timmerman Dasher. Ms. Perry was a member of Welcome Hill Church of Christ. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, enjoyed cooking, and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan.

She is survived by a son, Michael Newman of Valdosta; a daughter, Sandra Lake of Valrico, FL; five grandchildren, Carolyn Newman and Alicia Hancock, both of Valdosta, Kimberly Geddes and husband Tony, Joshua Lake and Caleb Lake, all of Valrico, FL; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Mikey Newman Smith; her son-in-law, Steve Lake; and her brothers and sisters.

The funeral service for Ms. Perry will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013, at Welcome Hill Church of Christ, with Mr. Jerry Herring officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Hill Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
