Lila Mae Applegate Schleentz

Lila Mae Schleentz, 81, of Valdosta died on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 after a brief illness. Born in Rahway, New Jersey in 1926, she was the daughter of the late Roy F. and Harriett Morris Applegate. Mrs. Schleentz worked as a dispatcher for Hendrick Brothers Productions. She had made her home in Valdosta for the past 37 years.

Survivors are her daughter and son in law, Judith and Charles Hilton, granddaughter, Sharon Hilton, grandson and his wife, Charles, Jr. and April Hilton great grandson, Trey Hilton all of Valdosta, sister and brother in law, Winifred and C. Paul Bennett of Jupiter, Florida. Mrs. Schleentz is preceded in death by her husband, Osborn R. Schleentz.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, April 14, 2007, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Mr. Sam Greneker will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the North Shore Animal League, Lewyt Street, Port Washington, NY 11050.
