Letha Irene Mclane Durrance

LETHA IRENE McLANE DURRANCE, 83, of Valdosta died Saturday, July 8, 2006 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born on November 27, 1922 in Lowndes County to the late Norman Sheard and Annie Jane Kinsey McLane and was a lifelong resident of Lowndes County. Mrs. Durrance was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include three grandchildren, one granddaughter in law and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Durrance and a daughter, Annie Clara Evans.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, July 11, 2006 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. James Young, Rev. Milton Sellars and Rev. Alton Hardee officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
