Lera Futch Taylor

LERA FUTCH TAYLOR, 89, of Hahira died Sunday, April 30, 2006 at the Brooks County Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born in Cook County on April 6, 1917 to the late Talley H. and Annie Bennett Futch and was a lifelong resident of Hahira. Mrs. Taylor was a retired nurse and a Baptist.

Survivors include a son and daughter in law, John Robert and Tessie Vickers of Hahira, three daughters and one son in law, June Vickers Cuthbertson of Valdosta, Linda Vickers Dale and Colin Dale of Cedar Key, Fla. and Della Ann Vickers of Lexington, KY., six granddaughters and their spouses, Lynne Revill Bonner and Bobby Bonner of Valdosta, Lisa Harris Macner and Lance Macner of Ft. Collins, CO., Terri Harris of Ft. Collins, CO., Danah Stevenson and Phil Stevenson of Winchester, KY., Shannon Powell and Charlie Powell of Lexington, KY and Julie Vickers of Hahira, three grandsons and their spouse, Cliff and Catherine Revill of Hahira, Jeff and Leslie Revill of Columbia, TN. and Robert Harris of Hahira, 13-great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. (Bill) Taylor, a son, Charles Ronald Vickers, three sisters, Monteen Futch, Udivella Sharpe and Corene Fielding and one brother, Ray Futch and a son in law, William Cuthbertson.

Graveside services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at Friendship Cemetery in Hahira with the Rev. Jim Houseal officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
