Leonore K. Dalton

Leonore K. Dalton, 84, of Valdosta died Monday, September 14, 2015 at Langdale Hospice House surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on June 2, 1931 in Quitman to the late Robert Berner and Ruby Lee Williams Kimble and had lived in Valdosta for more than sixty years. Mrs. Dalton was a member of the Northside Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed spending time with and shopping for her family. Mrs. Dalton enjoyed travelling and cruises. She and her husband had travelled throughout North America, Canada and Europe. Mrs. Dalton will be missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, John E. Dalton of Valdosta; her children and their spouses, Barbara and Jerry Wetherington, John E., Jr. and Donna Dalton all of Valdosta, Susan and Phil Raymond of Macon; her grandchildren and their spouses, Mary Ellen and Steven Brogdon of Valdosta, Tracy and Daryl Smith of Hahira, Jack and Abigail Dalton, Stewart Dalton, J. D. Dalton all of Valdosta, Vincent Raymond and Ally Raymond both of Macon; her great grandchildren, Carter Brogdon, Parker Brogdon both of Valdosta, Lolli Smith, Cooper Smith both of Hahira; her sister, Peggy Kimbrell of Cordele and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kinch Kimble and four sisters, Mary Frances Knight, Betty Jane Copeland, Juanita Simmons and Polly Ives. The family would like to thank the staff at Langdale Hospice House for their wonderful care and support.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Thursday, September 17, 2015 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Northside Baptist Church, 200 E.
