Leon M. Daniel

Leon M. Daniel, 71, of Valdosta died Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Langdale Hospice House after a lengthy illness. He was born on September 25, 1939 in Morgan, Georgia to the late Leon Earl and Verna Lane Daniel and had lived in Valdosta for the past thirty years. Mr. Daniel was a Baptist and retired from the United States Air Force after twenty six years of service. After retirement from the Air Force he worked at Valdosta State University and in the Prison System where he retired after fifteen years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Yukiko Wakai Daniel of Valdosta, two sons and a daughter in law, Charles Jimmy and Rachel Daniel of Byron, GA., Stanley Glenn Daniel of Valdosta, three grandchildren, Aleia Daniel, Ian Daniel and Joshua Daniel, two brothers and sisters in law, Charles M. and Mary Daniel of Ochlocknee, GA and Jimmy R. and Charlotte Daniel of Tifton, numerous nieces and nephews.
