Laverne "Bunnie" Moore Huda

Mrs. LaVerne “Bunnie” Moore Huda, age 91, of Marietta, Georgia died Wednesday, September 27, 2017. She was born in Lowndes County, Georgia on March 30, 1926 to the late Philip K. and Alma Moore. After working for General Electric for 28 years, Mrs. Huda retired and became involved with the women’s service organization, Pilot International, holding offices in the Peachtree Pilot Club including President. After 20 years in Pilot, Mrs. Huda joined the Cobb Travel Club where she traveled to 49 out of 50 U.S. states, as well as Canada.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger C. Huda, and son, Clark Edward Huda. Mrs. Huda is survived by son, Troy R. Huda and daughter-in-law, Lisa Winfrey of Atlanta; sisters, Iris M. Poole and Anne M. Gunter, both of Valdosta, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 7th at 11 AM with Reverend Roger Mays officiating in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home in Valdosta. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
