Larry Eugene Cone, Sr.

Larry Eugene Cone, Sr., 63 of Valdosta passed away on Wednesday August 5, 2020 at SGMC following a brief illness. Born in Valdosta, GA on June 21, 1957 to Mary Hathaway Cone and the late Guy Leslie Cone. Mr. Cone was a production tech at Saft in Valdosta.

Surviving Mr. Cone is his wife Debra Taylor Cone of Valdosta; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer (Kyle) Wood, Valdosta; Sarah (fiancé Travis Williams) of Barney; son Larry Cone Jr. (Fiancée Codi Willaford) of Tifton; mother Mary Cone of Valdosta; 8 grandchildren, Ian, TJ, Chase, Faith, Zachary, Dalton, Callie Grace and Landon; a sister Gina Moore of Lake Park; brother and sister-in-law Steve (Linda) Cone or Pensacola, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his dad he is predeceased by a brother Freddie Cone and son Jonathan Jett.

Funeral services for Mr. Cone will be held Sunday, August 9, 2020 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, with the Chaplain Brian Sayre officiating. There will be a private family burial at McLane Riverview Cemetery on Monday, August 10, 2020. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, August 8, 2020 from 5 - 7 pm.
