Kristy Daniell Mcintosh

November 8, 1973 — August 20, 2020

Written by Kristy Mcintosh herself as she wanted. Kristy Daniell McIntosh was born November 8, 1973 and died on August 20th, 2020. Prior to her death she survived many illnesses- well ...until now. But don’t worry, she’s finally healed! She was immediately loved by and named Evelyn and Jimmy Weaver’s best child- a title she kept until her sister (the other golden child) Brandi was born 18 months later! Bran- who she adored her whole life.

Paternal grandparents were Leo and Louese Weaver. Maternal grandparents were Biddy and Jack Griffin. She had a special bond with each of them, especially Leo and Louise who she was fortunate enough to raise her children under their advice on his farm for 15 years. Her first 15 years of marriage were also spent there on that farm, and she felt beyond lucky to share the loves of her life in the beautiful place she loved best. She was fortunate enough to live life with her forever love. She was 17 when Scott McIntosh swept her off her feet. He was the perfect husband and best friend anyone could ask for.

She got a bachelors and master’s degree in education from Valdosta State University. She went on doing what she loved- teaching.... until she landed the job of her dreams as an assistant technology specialist for GPAT working with kids and teachers around the state.
After her illness she was no longer able to teach but found other ways to connect with some amazing friends. In her last days she especially loved her family and yellow heart circle-her internet family.

She had children who were everything to her. She thought they were perfect even on days they weren’t- and even on those days she loved them without measure because they are simply the best. She was lucky to see her kids find the loves of their lives Morgan Taylor McIntosh-Cook (Cheryl), could not have been a better introduction to the story of their life as a family. She taught her Mama how to stay up all night studying while holding a screaming baby, taught her dad dirty diapers and spit up could not in fact kill someone, and the sweetest thing in the world was spending time together and laying all morning in bed snuggling a beautiful bundle wrapped in joy. Luke Stone McIntosh (Amanda), became the perfect edition of an often crazy family. He taught his mom that she THOUGHT she understood patience and that stopping everything to build a fort was important. He reminded his dad that it is still fun to play in the mud and dance in the rain. He also taught his Mom that sneaking to the back porch to look at, "Just how beautiful creation is." Is important. Tyler Davis McIntosh (Tiffany), was the perfect conclusion to this part of the often loud, sometimes chaotic, occasionally sad, and definitely loud selection of this family’s story. Tyler was our biggest surprise and fastest swimmer. Mama almost passed out when she found out about him. Ty was not only a surprise, he loved surprises and boy did he love some games. Give him any chance to celebrate- world hot sauce day- every bottle on the table, clean your desk day? It damn better be clean... chocolate fondue day? Fondue fountain out! Ty taught Scott you could always do more to help and that are never too many games. He taught us all laughter can get us through the worst of life. Then we got a surprise epilogue Emilee Grace Moore (Kyle). For 20 years she was there any time I asked and was the best bonus daughter ever. She taught what it meant giving with no expectation of receiving.

Gracie and Maddie were their reasons for their Mamaw's holding on so long and they are the best granddaughters anyone could ask for. They are absolutely amazing. Because I said so! Being Mamaw was her greatest joy.

She was blessed with so many wonderful aunts, uncles and great aunts and uncles as well. Also a ton of cousins. She was thankful for an aunt who was like a sister, Brenda, and a special uncle/aunt Don and Carol- who make the best fish ever.

More than anything, she lived a happy, satisfying life because she lived a life where she was loved and she loved in return. A special thank you to Scott and my mother for making the last 10 years of difficult care easier, it was never unnoticed, and for what her children have done to make life better- especially in the hardest times.

If you feel like sending flowers for this funeral, pick yellow, if not give to halcyon hospice or https://wags-rescue.org in honor of her daughter Morgan. Her one request is that when you think of her, pull up a memory, or saying and smile. Smile big- maybe laugh knowing she is laughing. Know without a doubt, love remains... and you are loved beyond measure.
