Katherine Elizabeth Kent

Katherine Elizabeth Kunz Kent, of Valdosta, Georgia and formerly of East China, Michigan passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta, Georgia. She was born in Greenville, South Carolina, the daughter of Robert Lee and Betty Jo Roper Kunz. Mrs. Kent was a homemaker and was actively involved in River District Hospital in East China, Michigan and was manager of the gift shop. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister.

Mrs. Kent is survived by her husband, Patrick Kent of Valdosta, one son, Phillip Fletcher of Clinton Township, Michigan, her mother, Betty Jo Kunz of Simpsonville, South Carolina, one sister, Carol Kunz of Asheville, North Carolina and one nephew, Blake Stephens of Columbia, South Carolina. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert L. Kunz and one sister, Susan K. Stephens.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 27, 2010 at two p. m. in the McCarter Presbyterian Church, 2 Pelham Road, Greenville, South Carolina. Memorial donations may be made to the Melanoma Research Foundation, 170 Township Line Road, Building B, Hillsborough, New Jersey 08844.
