Kathe Hilde Hartmann Taylor

November 2, 1933 — July 28, 2020

Kathe Hilde Hartmann Taylor, 86, of Valdosta and formerly of Tallahassee, died on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Crestwood Nursing Home in Valdosta. She was born in Stettin, Germany to the late Gerda Hartmann and was a survivor of WWII Germany having endured the horrors of The Holocaust. She was a self-employed housekeeper and then worked as an independent missionary with various independent churches in Kentucky before moving to Tallahassee. She was an avid gardener who loved her pets, serving the people in her community, and playing the harmonica.
She is survived by Deborah Bradley; her son and daughter-in-law, George and Anita Krauskopf of Clyde, Texas; her granddaughters, Kimberly Krauskopf and Rachel Krauskopf both of Abilene, Texas; her Plantation Forest neighborhood friends. A special thanks goes to her caretakers at Pruitt Health Crestwood.
