Karen Culpepper Weldon

December 10, 1955 — May 10, 2019

Karen Culpepper Weldon, 63, of Lake Park died Friday, May 10, 2019 at home. She was born in Homerville on December 10, 1955 and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Weldon was a member of the Bethel Church of God and a medical technologist with South Georgia Medical Center. She loved spending time with family especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Weldon enjoyed her dad’s bi-annual Tractor Show and fishing.
Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Lynette and Dave Anderson; her son and daughter in law, Michael and Mandy Weldon; her grandchildren, Savannah Anderson, Averie Anderson, Wade Weldon, Waylon Weldon; her mother and stepfather, Ann and Walt Taylor; sister and brother in law, Teresa and David Powell; brother and sister in law, Louie and Janet Culpepper all of Lake Park; her mother in law, Margie Weldon of Hahira. She is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Wesley Weldon; her father, Vernon Culpepper and her father in law, Alonzo (Dub) Weldon.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Bethel Church of God with Rev. Daryl Pate officiating. Burial will follow in the Kinsey Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8pm at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home.
