Julia Ann Hosono Tyson, 86, of Valdosta, died on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Lakeland Villa following a lengthy illness. She was born on July 18, 1934 in Niigata, Japan to the late Eimatsu and Hatsu Hosono. She retired from Crackin Good Bakery where she worked in the packing department and was of the Christian faith. Julia loved people and thrived in social settings. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. Julia was passionate about skills in both flower arranging and crocheting.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Michael Scott of Valdosta; her son and daughter-in-law, James and Laurie Tyson of McDonough, Georgia; her grandchildren and their spouses, Jeremy and Katherine Scott of Valdosta, Jana Scott of Tallahassee, and Daniel and Michelle Tyson of Atlanta. Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Joe Tyson.
