Joseph H. Lorence

Joseph H. Lorence, 66, of Valdosta died on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Langdale Hospice House following a short illness. He was born on August 15, 1943 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Harold and Lorraine Rassmussen Lorence. He was a real estate broker and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Geraldine Lorence of Valdosta; two sons and daughter-in-law, Steven and Caroline Lorence of Powell, OH and Michael Lorence of Westlake, TX; two daughters and son-in-law, Debra Lorence and life partner Jennifer Verrastro of Atlanta and Christine and Robert Youngblood of Valdosta; eight grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Linda Lorence of Minneapolis and sister and brother-in-law Nancy Lorence and Tom Prinkkila of Maple Grove, Minnesota.

A memorial service for Joseph Lorence will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Marvin LeFrois officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society Albany Field Office P.O.
