John Smith

John Smith, 78, of Valdosta, died Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Heritage House Nursing Home. He was born on October 1, 1928 in Clinch County to the late Joe Cyrus and Willie Bennett Smith. Mr. Smith was a retired farmer.

He is survived by two brothers, Chester Smith of Jennings, FL and Fred Smith of Valdosta, one sister, Alma Lewis Smith of Albany, GA and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Smith is preceeded in death by his parents, four brothers, L. C. Smith, Joe Smith, Bill Smith and Roy Smith and one sister, Pearlie Smith.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2006 at eleven a. m. in Good Hope Cemetery with Reverend Bob Willis officiating. Burial will follow.
