John P. Daniels

John P. Daniels, 88, of Halls, TN died on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman, GA. Born on November 5, 1917 in Faulkner, TN, he was the son of the late, John Lee and Lida Mae Parrish Daniels. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Ripley until the late 70’s when he moved and joined First Baptist Church in Halls, TN.

Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law: John and Charlotte Daniels of Valdosta, GA, Tom and Martha Daniels of Bend, OR; one daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Paul Knox of Gilbert, AZ; grandchildren, Jonathan and Jamie Daniels of Waycross, GA, Bryan Daniels of Valdosta, GA, Carrie and Andy Deleyiannis of Ashburn, VA, Katherine (Anne) and John Knox of Gilbert, AZ, Scot Wooldridge of Choctaw, OK; and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two wives, Katherine (Katie) Margaret Harrelson in 1977, mother of Suzanne, Tom, and John P. Jr. (Danny), and his second wife, Frankie Demetral Chipman, who was survived by a son, Larry Joe Beard; a daughter-in-law, Joan Herron Beard and her grandchildren, Lisa Michelle Beard and Christie Jo Beard Crews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2006, at Garner Funeral Home in Ripley, TN. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until 2 pm. A celebration service will begin at 2 pm with Pastor Trent Bullock, pastor of First Baptist Church, Halls, TN. officiating. Burial will follow with family only at Ripley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
