John Michael Koebble

December 8, 1966 — February 1, 2017

John Michael Koebble, 50, of Valdosta, died on Wednesday, February 01, 2017 at his residence following a period of declining health. He was born on December 8, 1966 in Frankfurt, Germany to the late Joseph and Emilie Beysiegel Koebble. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country honorably. John had been a manager with Wendy's, Hardees, and McDonalds restaurants and had also served as the food service manager at the Park Avenue United Methodist Church. He was a former Cub Scout Master with Pack 415, had worked with the children's and youth ministries of the Park Avenue United Methodist Church in various capacities. John was part of the Emmaus community and from 2005-2010 served as a band parent with the Valdosta Marching Cats. He was a member of the Park Avenue United Methodist Church
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Pamela Koebble of Valdosta; two sons, Caleb Michael Koebble, and Jared Matthew Koebble, and his daughter, MaryJo Kaitlyn Koebble all of Valdosta; his sister, Shirley Bruce of Gainesville, Florida; a niece, Nicole Weber of Gainesville, Florida and a nephew, Tony Koebble of Valdosta; a special aunt and caretaker, LaTrelle Batten of High Point, North Carolina, and his four legged friend and companion, Shiloh. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, MaryJo Williams.
Services for John Michael Koebble will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Park Avenue United Methodist Church with Dr. Craig Rikard, Rev. Willie Beasley, and Rev. Hale Bishop officiating. The burial will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Park Avenue United Methodist Church Missions or to Hospice of South Georgia.
