John Allen Anderson, Jr.

John Allen Anderson, Jr., of Lake Park, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017. He was born on March 12, 1947 in Ashland, KY to the late John, Sr., and Louise Combs Anderson. John was self-employed as an insulator and served in the U.S. Army. He was a hardworking family man, who loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He had the most infectious smile and loved to help others.
John is survived by his daughter, Sherry Anderson, of Lake Park; his son, Bobby (Donna) Anderson, of Hahira; his grandchildren, Tony Anderson, Wes Anderson, Kayla Redding, Tyler Jenkins, Taylor Jenkins, Taylor Stanford, and Katelyn Stanford; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Parker, Kayden, Ashton, Anzleigh, Kaylee, Kamdon, Dalton, Aria, and Adalyn; his sister, Laura Moore, of Ashland, KY; his grandmother, Mary Combs Shiver, of Valdosta. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanell McGill Anderson, his son, Wesley Anderson, his great grandson, Cameron Elswick, and one sister, Helen Carver.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Dewy Fountain officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery in Naylor, GA. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
