Joanne Williams Halter

Joanne Williams Halter, 67, of Valdosta, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020 after battling a lengthy illness. She was born on October 28, 1952 in Thompson, Ga to the late Ed and Jessie Tyler Williams. Joanne was the owner and operator of Oweda’s Treasures. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Joanne is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Halter; son, Eddie Halter; brother and sister in law, Jesse and Lyn Williams, all of Valdosta; sister, Violet Emery, of Crestview, FL; brothers in law and sisters in law, Jim and Wanda Halter, Sam Halter, Eva and Randy Grubb, all of Valdosta, and Loretta Halter of New York City, NY; along with a number of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Jessie Tyler Williams, a brother, Eddie Williams, and father in law and mother in law, Henry and Grace Halter.
Funeral services for Mrs. Joanne Halter will be Wednesday July 29, 2020 at eleven a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Mickey Wisehart officiating.
