Jo Ann Swilley

Jo Ann Swilley, 69, of Valdosta, died on September 30, 2014 at South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born November 29, 1944 in Jesup, GA to Alene Virginia Ward and the late Fred Winston Peterson. Ms. Swilley had lived in the Valdosta area for the past 35 years.

Survivors include her mother, Alene Virginia Ward of Jesup, GA; one daughter, Sheila Scott of Valdosta; one sister, Rejuvia Kent of Jesup, GA; one grandson and his wife, Justin and Samantha Scott of Valdosta; one great-grand daughter, Ivy Rose Scott of Valdosta; and several cousins and extended family. In addition to her father, Ms. Swilley was preceded in death by her son, David Swilley.
