Jimmy Dean Hall

February 6, 1955 — February 19, 2021

Jimmy Dean Hall, 66, of Quitman, died on Friday, February 19, 2021, at his home. A native of Valdosta, he was born on February 6, 1955, a son of the late Lanis B. Hall and Dorothy Doris King Hall. He was a retired mechanic. Mr. Hall had worked for Valdosta State Prison for 20 years. He enjoyed socializing, never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends. He loved to tinker on cars and liked to stay busy. A friend to all, he was a Christian and loved his family.
Survivors are his sons and daughter, Jeremy (Ashley) Hall of Hahira, Dean Vinson of Valdosta, Jeff (Jennifer) Hale of Augusta, Adrienne Hall of Valdosta; grandchildren, Riley Hall of Hahira, Ayden Hall of Texas, Tristen Hale of Augusta; a brother, Tommy Hall of Valdosta, a sister, Debbie (Smitty) Brantley of Morven. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Hayden Vinson, and a brother, Darrell Hall.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. Condolences may be conveyed online at
