Jeanette Mccranie

Jeanette McCranie, 93, of Valdosta, died at home on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, following a short illness. Born in Monticello, Florida, on April 3, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William Madison Christie and Emma Radney Christie. Widow of the late John D. McCranie, Jeanette was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Larry Lovingood of Valdosta; son, Roger McCranie of Valdosta; grandchildren, Derek and Beth Lovingood of Tallahassee, Florida, Travis and Natalie Lovingood of Canton, GA, Bonnie Lynn and Lee Crosby of Valdosta, Jennifer McCranie of Florida; great grandchildren, Bayley Adams, Kendyl Crosby, Cameron Crosby, Mason Crosby, Gabriel John-Paul Kerestan and Jaxon Pittman, Lilly Crosby, Cody Crosby, Hendricks Lovingood, Beckham Lovingood, Miles Lovingood, Avery Lovingood. Mrs. McCranie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Ashley McCranie, three sisters and four brothers.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Reverend Frank Gupton will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Hospice of South Georgia.
