Jack Orenstein, 65 of Valdosta died on Sunday, November 21, 2004 at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. He was born on October 1, 1939 in Seaford, DE. He was the owner of Jac’s Bowling Lanes and was a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors are his wife, Lavonne Dowdy Orenstein of Valdosta; daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Greg Daugherty of Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Carol Orenstein of Lakewood, CO; one grandson, Brett Daugherty of Valdosta; his mother, Dorothy Cook Baars of Pensacola, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Pat Orenstein of Valdosta and a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Michael Jones of Pensacola, FL. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Orenstein.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2004 in the Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Reverend Clyde Stokes will officiate.
