Isabelle Miley Amerson

Isabelle Miley Amerson, 97, of Hahira died Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Heritage Healthcare in Valdosta. She was born in Lowndes County on July 12, 1917 to the late Henry Alford Miley, Sr. and Doshia Rebecca Griffin Miley. Mrs. Amerson was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Valdosta.

She is surived by her son in law, J. C. Plair of Hahira, two daughters and a son in law, Patricia and Russell Bramlett of Albany and Melba Fender of South Boston, VA, six grandchildren, Janice Thursby, Wanda Bumgarner, Linda LaGrand, Charlie Bramlett, Buddy Bramlett and Audrey Shaw, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Amerson is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roscoe J. Amerson, her son, Jack Amerson, her daughter, Martha Dene Plair, her son in law, David Fender, her brothers, H. A. Miley, Wilton Miley, Jessie Miley, Virgil Miley, Sr., Bill Miley, her sisters, Henrietta Thompson, Eldis Parrish, Beattie Amerson and Irene Lassiter.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Reverend Gene Wisehart officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from one until two p. m. Saturday prior to the service. Condolences may be expressed online at www.mclanecares.com.
