Horace Elston Williams

Horace Elston Williams, 88, of Lake Park died Friday, September 11, 2015 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born in Live Oak, Florida on June 5, 1927 to the late Horace Donald and Abbie Lanier Williams. Mr. Williams was a charter member of Northway Community Church and the founder and owner of Renee's Fashions. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Williams enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and travelling. He loved living on the lake and teaching people how to water ski.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Von Erie Baker Williams of Lake Park, two sons and daughters in law, Michael and Gaile Williams of Lake Park, Jerry and Teresa Williams of Hahira; grandchildren and their spouses, Chris and Cary Williams of Morven, Monica and Brandon Whitesides of Jefferson, Jessica and Chad Allen of Flowery Branch, Lori and Brinson Barker of Guatemala, Julie and Jonathan Tomlinson of Valdosta; great grandchildren, Hallie Whitesides, Davis Whitesides, Mason Whitesides, Elijah Barker, Asher Barker, Seth Barker, Michael Williams, Jacob Williams, Anniston Allen, Brody Allen, Tyler DeLoach, Maddie Tomlinson, Hunter Tomlinson, Rylee Tomlinson; two sisters, Doris Starling of Live Oak, FL, Geraldine Moseley of Jacksonville, FL; four brothers and sisters in law, Raymond and Vivian Williams, Donald Williams, Jimmy and Gloria Williams, Ronald and Carolyn Williams, Oveida Williams all of Live Oak, FL. He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Monday, September 14, 2015 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. William Blanchard officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
