Herbert Roy (Beaver) Butler, Sr.

Herbert Roy (Beaver) Butler, Sr., 67, of Hahira died Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born in Quitman on December 12, 1946 to the late David and Lillie Mae Post Butler. Mr. Butler was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam. He enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, fishing, remodeling houses and playing with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Jan Lokey Butler, his son, Herbert Roy Butler, Jr., his daughters and sons in law, Tracy and Berke Holtzclaw, Tonya Marie and Scott Brunette all of Hahira, eight grandchildren, Corey Butler, Chelsea Griffin, Logan Holtzclaw, Reece Holtzclaw, Tristin Butler, Rayna Peck, Kamryn Peck, Mason Holtzclaw, two great grandchildren, Adalyn Phelps and Ryleigh Griffin, his brother and sister in law, David and Willette Butler of Tampa, FL, his sister and brother in law, Judy and Carl McInnis of Macon and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Butler and a sister, Patty Butler.

Memorial services with military honors will be held at 1pm, Friday, December 12, 2014 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn Hurley officiating.
