Helen J. Chance

Helen J. Chance, 69, of Valdosta, died on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Born on June 2, 1937, in Lawrenceville, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Hazel Austin Sells. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Willet Murray Chance of Valdosta; three daughters and a son in law, Angela Cochran of Atlanta, Samantha Gay of Valdosta, Toni & James Hennly of Valdosta; five sons and daughters in law, Kenneth Chance of Valdosta, Tony Wayne & Linda Chance of Adel, Ronnie Chance of Waynesboro, AL, Gregory Allen & Kelly Chance of Roswell, Timothy Scott & Michelle Chance of Valdosta; nineteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; brother & sister in law, James & Peggy Sells of Screven; one niece and three nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park with Bro. Dennis Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the Lake Park Cemetery.
