Hattie Ann Rogers

January 30, 1935 — August 30, 2022

Hattie Ann Rogers, 87, of Hahira, died on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at South Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health. She was born on January 30, 1935, in Nankin, Georgia to the late Herbert and Jewel Simpson Hodge and has been a resident of this local area most of her life with a brief time in Florida. She had worked for many years with Quality Inn of Valdosta as Clerk/Manager and was a member of Barney Baptist Church. Ms. Hattie loved a beautiful yard and working in her garden, but her life revolved around her family as she enjoyed keeping up with all her grandchildren and the events and day to day happenings in their lives. All her grandchildren loved her immensely. She made sure that her children looked their best when they were growing up and was known to be very fastidious from her house being in order, to her family looking just right when going out in public. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Richard Mitchell of Jasper, Florida; her grandchildren and their spouses, Chase Cannady, Savannah and James Conger, Kylie Wainwright, Jessica and Cooper Hall, Chad Rogers, Danya and Shane Miller, Jessie and Deandra Drew, and Terry and Dana Sublett; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Drew; her son, Alan Rogers; her former husband, Thomas Rogers; two grandsons, Bryan Radney and Ron Radney, and her brother, Leon Hodge.
