Harry James Corbett

Harry J. Corbett, 80, of Valdosta died Monday, August 5, 2013 at Lakehaven Nursing Home. He was born in Valdosta on May 29, 1933 to the late Aubrey Austin Corbett and Ella Mae Rouse Corbett. Mr. Corbett worked at the Owens Illinois Bag Plant and served in the United States Army in Korea.

He is survived by his brother and sister in law, Don A. and Geraldine M. Corbett of Valdosta, six nieces, Marsha Jarrett of Temple Terrace, FL, Trina Thomas of Valdosta, Dale Harris of Daytona Beach, FL, Brenda Baird of Tallahassee, FL, April Faircloth and Chrystal Corbett of Valdosta and one nephew, Jamie Herring of Valdosta. Mr. Corbett is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Alvis Herring and Blanche Kennedy and one brother, Tim Corbett.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 8, 2013 at ten thirty a. m. at the graveside at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Reverend John Akers officiating. Burial will follow.
