Harriett Foster

Harriett Foster, 85, of Valdosta, died at Fellowship Nursing Home on Monday, October 15, 2007. Born in Valdosta in 1921, she was associated with C. C. Varnedoe and Co. for many years, was a Charter Member of Azalea City Women’s Club and was formerly a Pink Lady at South Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Foster was a member of First Baptist Church since 1963 where she taught Sunday School for a number of years.

Surviving are her daughter, Deborah Lee Foster of Charlotte, North Carolina; sons, Dewey (Gelaine) Foster of Valdosta, Michael (Leesa) Foster of St. Augustine, Florida; grandchildren, Heather Foster of Scottsdale, Arizona, Leo Brock Foster of St. Augustine, Florida, Brittney Foster of Valdosta, David and Cindy Foster of Warner Robbins; two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Brock Foster, Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Dr. Phil West and Reverend Mac Weaver will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com.
