Graham Thaxton Sale, Jr.

Graham (Thaxton) Sale, Jr., 63, of Lake Park, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 21, 2014, at his home.

He was born September 12, 1950 in Valdosta, and retired as a Supervisor from ADM in 2012, after thirty-eight years of employment. Mr. Sale was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved hunting, his dogs (his two closest companions, Penny and Radar), and was a history buff.

He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Pamela Sale of Lake Park; two sons, Graham Sale and fiancé Aron Robertson of Dasher, and Michael Sale and wife Andi of Valdosta; six grandchildren, Zach, McKenzie, Brylie, Jayden, Hallie and Thaxton Sale; his mother, Betty Jo Murphy and her husband Dr. Frank Murphy of Lakeland, FL; two sisters, Mardi Brenner of Polk City, FL, and Emily Plymale and husband Darren of Odessa, FL; his mother-in-law, Verlie Simpson of Valdosta; and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, William Ashley Sale; his father, Graham (Chic) Sale; and his father-in-law, Bill Simpson.

A Celebration of Thaxton's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, with Rev. Ted Sauls officiating.
