Grace Phillips Rochester

Grace Phillips Rochester, 87, of Valdosta, died on Monday, February 22, 2021 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was born in Monroe, Georgia on February 17, 1934 to the late Emmitt and Floy Stephens Phillips. She was married to the late Vernon E. Rochester and they spent most of their married life in St. Petersburg, Florida. She retired as a Human Resource officer for Bay Pine VA Hospital in St. Petersburg. Mrs. Grace loved her family and was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.
She is survived by her granddaughters and their spouses, Nicole and Matt Gaston of Hahira; Amanda and Doug Neal and Keri Bramlett all of St. Petersburg; great-grandchildren, Jacob Gaston, Joel Gaston, Addy Gaston, Josiah Gaston, Libby Gaston, Moriah Neal, Cameron Bramlett, and Kristen Bramlett; nieces and nephews ; special friends, Jones and Earline Ponder of Omega, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Rochester; her daughter, Donna Noto; her son, Lamar Fletcher; three brothers, Albert Phillips, Sam Phillips, and Earl Phillips; two sisters, Edna Keith and Annette Calvin.
