Glenn Watson

July 16, 1920 — June 26, 2011

Glenn Holt Watson, 90, formerly of Valdosta, died on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at the Edgewood Center in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Mrs. Watson was born in Etowah, Tennessee on July 16, 1920 to the late Henry and Lillie Mae Dillingham Holt. She married Hugh L. Watson in 1942 and moved to Valdosta in 1950. They joined the First United Methodist Church of Valdosta and were active members of the Christian Homebuilders Sunday School Class. Mrs. Watson retired from the Valdosta Credit Bureau after 20 years of service.

Mrs. Watson was preceded by her husband of 64 years, Hugh L. Watson. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Sharon Watson of Newmarket, New Hampshire; a nephew, John Austin of Hixson, Tennessee; two nieces, Myra Jo Petzold of Gainesville, Florida and Sandy Key of Morristown, Tennessee and a host of loving neighbors and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Dr. Bob Moon will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Community Soup Kitchen P.O. Box 5007, Valdosta Georgia 31603.
