Geneva Casey Hawkins

Geneva Casey Hawkins, 76, of Valdosta died on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at South Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born on October 25, 1937 in Doerun, Georgia to the late Dave and Blanche Phillips Casey. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Assembly of God. She had a giving heart, a gentle and sweet spirit, and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Teresa Hawkins of Jacksonville, Florida; a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Adrian Walker of Valdosta; three grandchildren, Cassie Walker of Valdosta, Benjamin Keith Hawkins and Samuel Edward Hawkins both of Jacksonville; a brother and sister-in-law, Irvin and Sandy Casey of Valdosta; sister and brother-in-law, Selba and Jay Teams of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lacey Hawkins; her son, Keith Hawkins and her brother, Billy Casey.

Services for Geneva Hawkins will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Milton Sellars and Rev. Bob Ellis officiating. The burial will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Carson McLane Funeral Home.
